I received my PhD in English at the University of Illinois in 2012. I specialized in 20th- and 21st-century American Literature. I went to college at the University of Rochester in western New York, where I majored in English and also studied music, religion, and history.
Experience
I've been teaching Rhetoric, Literature, and Film at the University of Illinois for over 13 years, which has included classroom teaching and extensive one-on-one tutoring. I've also been a grader for the essay section of the AP English Literature exam for 8 years, so I'm very familiar with that exam and familiar with the AP English Language exam.
