Experience

I am currently in my third year at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and am working toward a degree in Bioengineering and a minor in Art & Design. I am a strong believer in multidisciplinary education and being proactive about following your dream. I am currently hoping to go into prosthetic design and am doing an internship with 3D printing in Chicago, Illinois. I first started tutoring in HS, where I tutored English to non-native speakers in South Korea. I’ve learned that no one likes doing what they’re not good at, but I love being able to work alongside students and watch them gain confidence in a certain subject they were struggling with. For me, the best feeling is when I work with a student and have them grow and be hungry for knowledge. As a tutor I’m all about finding strengths and positive reinforcement. From my own personal experience, I know that hard work alongside trial and error is monumental in terms of progress and success.

Hobbies

I can take photos and process them through photoshop without even noticing the time go by. Similarly, I love making posters and spreads on photoshop and indesign for school organizations. In my other free time, I love to bake banana bread and chocolate chip cookies.. only because those are the only two i've mastered... 95% of the time :) To work off all that sugar I eat, I love to play soccer and swim.
